i have several passions, i adore gardening, my favorite hobby, i could be in the warm earth from sun up to sun down, never, ever tire of a gardening life! i love reading, if no time to hold a book i am found listening to 2 audiobooks a day, i love being exposed to new things, i could have been a professional student, books satisfy all my needs. i have an obsession with chocolate, maybe all things sugar... but the one thing that puts THE largest smile on my face year after year is watching dogs run wild on the beach! doesn't even have to be my own dogs, just seeing these beauties run helter skelter permanently lights up my joy meter!
our beach house is located on the only off leash dog beach in northern ca, our puppy rosie desperately needed to be socialized... i can't begin to tell you how proud i am of her, with katie as her mentor she has changed drastically with our weekly visits, she is now off leash and running wild and making new friends, it delights me to no end! in other words, my photos may be mind numbingly dull and repetitive to others, but i am watching my puppy mature in every picture, and my grouchy senior dog cassie is taking a shine to rosie and i am capturing all these subtle moments in time...
there is nothing cassie likes more, other than begging for treats, than soaking like a manatee in the low tide pools.
rosie diving for kelp...
welcome to total out take city.... i would have loved these two looking at me while cassie sat in the rear. katie loves to bark and howl at the beach, rosie is keeping her eyes on cassie now that she is being nice to her.
katie keeps barking....
and is just disinterested in me...
katie is still howling, no problem, just cut her out of the pic and enjoy rosie!
still howling...
still...
and still...
and i give up, now i am howling with her, not a good pic to be had, i'm moving on!
walked with a good friend who has two dogs katie grew up with, she snatched my hands and we both laughed at our sparkle nails! extra fun for me since another friend and i shared our sparkles last week, i love that we may all be seniors but we still can enjoy a bit of splashy of fun!
What fun at the beach. Katie howling and Rosie and Cassie growing fonder of each other. A treat to behold pure joy.
