fall is taking shape~

i know i am going overboard with my barn hutch, i play with it daily as i comb through all my fall garden goodies. It has been years since I truly got to play in the garden, we have been in the new house for 3 years, to which we worked on planting for permanence and hardscapes, i never had a place to play with small, tiny, FUN decorative things!

prior to moving here, i lived at the beach for 7 years, i had my fill of nonstop beach fun, but face it, the beach doesn't exude fall with the brilliant reds and oranges, its a much quieter, more subtle life visually. it also was not conducive to a garden, our home sits in the windiest and foggiest beach in the country, i swear we lived in the jet stream, here, i am able to nurture anything to grow radiantly!

fall has always been my favorite season, for that reason alone i am taking oodles of photos and although they may all look identical to the untrained eye, i relish that maybe this post i added a yellow mum, or moved the owl or added a new bottle opener and dish towel holder, gradually my hutch is being tweaked to garden perfection for me! outside of my rose garden, i think this is the best piece of garden real estate on the property, i love coming here and adjusting, primping, snipping, stacking, sketching, sitting, starring, watering, whispering, well you get the idea, i am loving my anniversary present!

  5. I don't blame you for wanting to play with that beautiful hutch. Just being in your surroundings must be the best thing in the world. You have a wonderful collection of all things fall and they are displayed beautifully. Fall is my favorite season also and I love to decorate with all the pretty colors, but Christmas might edge it out of first place just a little..Stay well..xxoJudy

  6. Oh I adore your harvest in your hutch! Love all your accents, pots, pillows and the owls are a hoot. :) You are in your element! I love that you can chalk your arched pediment up...chalkboard art at its finest.♥
