garden chronicles, the nursery

i am wild about gardening, there is no better pastime in my eyes, coupled with audio books and fresh air, i am in my favorite element! i love to grow my own plants, one day there will be a greenhouse, but for now i am setting up what i call my nursery, basically a holding tank until i can get them planted in the garden.

i purchased these heavy duty plant racks from a nursery going out of business 30 years ago, i am so grateful we moved them here before the fire could have consumed them. my nursery is basically two large patios, fenced in from the deer, there will be large potting tables, a soaking sink, and loads of storage for pots and flats as i transplant them to larger sizes.

for now, i just have the first patio in and 5 plant racks on the upper patio. i have a temporary table to work from until the built-ins come soon. this area is what i call frog holler, when we first bought the property i heard an odd sound, i thought a cow was stuck in the canal, turns out it was a bull frog, i now understand the "bull" in bull frog! i had frog hill at our other home, i was thrilled to keep their legacy alive~
