in the apple orchard...

  1. Oh the next best thing to a picnic in an orchard is arm chair travelling on your virtual picnic! I'm drinking in all the details... from your infused water, wonderful apple crates, fantastic cart...I have thermos envy!! I'm still enthralled with the trees dripping with fruit~ A big apple sigh of happiness from me this morning!

  3. Wow, apple-mania!! I think I can almost smell those sweet apples in the warm sunshine.

    The little heart . . . *sigh*

    Happy Apple Week! :)

  4. Your photos swept me away to a magical place where hearts appear on apples and the air is fragrant. Each picture outshines the ones in the garden book. I hope an editor at Gibbs-Smith sees this post, because it could be a stunning book. Love the tartan thermos, the apples spilling out of the crates, the picnic in the orchard, the slant of sunlight. I even love the apple leaves: a novelty to me because my apples came from Publix. Stepford apples! A beautiful post. Can't wait to pin these to the Apple Week board! xxoo

  5. Beautiful post. I have never been in an apple orchard.Love your vignette and am still chuckling that your husband didn't want you to ask if you could take pictures.

I brought home apples from the market yesterday. You girls have me baking again.

  8. Thank you for a lovely day in the apple orchard, your crates and baskets overflowing with apples and the vintage thermos~all so reminiscent of a simpler time~ when life was slow and you had time to carve hearts in apples~ on sun dappled days~
