heavy morning pruning in the rose garden~

The roses are still blooming, as I heavily prune I have been sharing my cut roses with friends. The bees are smothering all the blooms.

This rose is taller than I am, 5'6"...

but today was cut down to 12-18" for a fresh spring start.

The shred pile is huge

but my husband has been working hard to keep up with me.

I have a large rose garden and decided to start from the center arches and work my way out pruning.

Before

and after

You can see the debris mounting high...

The arches from the four different angles, before and after center pruning.

  1. What a job! You need Kevlar both to keep you safe from all the thorns :) Love seeing the bees buzzing around your roses. Hope you're having a Merry Christmas. 🎄❤️
