the stars are out~

living in the country hungry deer always have to be taken into consideration, especially concerning roses! my rose garden is fenced with just them in mind, but i wanted a living fence with scent and color. facing the road i have 2 50' tunnels, acting as a fence and place of beauty, on the exterior it is planted with star jasmine, something deer avoid, the inside arch is covered with climbing roses. right now the stars are out in their full glory...

my rose garden is in its 3rd summer, for the first time i am witnessing Annabelle just surrounded and floating on a huge bed of roses...
