greenhouse update~

It was a very busy weekend in the greenhouse, we are just a day away from completion! first, the rectangular window under the half round window finally came in after waiting over 3 months, my husband quickly installed it which started the completion of the exterior. 

my plan was to paint the greenhouse siding red to match the barn, but i was instantly smitten with au natural!

it matches the interior, plus i am just as happy having to deal with less maintenance over the years.

 

we installed 2 of the 6 window boxes, the west side is planted with red tulips.

along with the matching galvanized water can.

our faithful rosie was the only dog that stayed the day with us, she is unaffected by power tools...

the greenhouse will be surrounded by 2 paver patios, until we can purchase them in another month or two, heavy mulch was spread to keep the weeds and dirt to a minimum. patio furniture was just plunked on the uneven terrain. 

the greenhouse is located on the south side of the barn, with the doors facing east and west ,for maximum sunrise and sunset exposure. 

we just need to trim 3 interior windows and 2 exterior windows and add siding on the north side and the greenhouse will be officially done, just waiting for her patios and i could not be any happier!
