Flora joined us in 2003
Over the decade her face and chest paled in the sun
Then the fire scorched her deeply...
My husband rescued her and brought her to our new home, I scoured her the best I could...
but her lower sections were too fused in the fire and retained a new deep burnt sienna...
today she was freshly stained a deep butternut...
she regally wears her new battle scars
I fell in love with flora because she matched the golden hills of California, I am grateful her new home still has a glimpse of gold...
she has been through fire and ice with us and we welcome her home.
