storm on the coast

California was hard hit with an atmospheric river, the power company told us our power was out for four days, when they texted it was back up we knew we needed to head over and toss out all the spoiled food and look for our patio furniture. We arrived on a gorgeous day~

Worst wind damage we have seen since we owned the cottage.

The garage door was facing the wind, it rattled so hard it shook the sheet rock off the frame, flinging bits and pieces on the floor, thank heavens it held, the rose gate at our house was fractured and flung open.

While cleaning up a friend stopped by and told us the power was only out for ten minutes, we threw all our food away for nothing, such an ironic joke on us!
