elephant seals part two

  1. I'm fascinated with the seal photos. They look so timid. Are you able to approach them?

    1. Thank you for visiting, its a marvel to watch them. This is a state park that fences the elephant seals beach off from mid December through the end of march for the annual birthing. Males weigh 4000 pounds and are 15' long, nothing you want the public touching! You are very close to them, but a barrier protects them. We have been going every two weeks since December to watch the changes first hand, the mothers abandon then at two months.
