turkey wellington~

we took this delicious meal on the road, straight from the oven we wrapped the cookie sheet in foil and jumped in car to celebrate thanksgiving at the beach. what the pics may lack in beauty, the taste was fantastic! we even had piping hot gravy served from a thermos, was a very memorable thanksgiving... and recipe too!

turkey wellington

2 boxes of puff pastry ... depends on the size of your turkey breast
turkey breast
garlic
onion
mushrooms
fresh thyme
s&p
2 cups bread crumbs
fresh cranberries
enough liquid to be able to mold stuffing over bird

egg + 2T water for an egg wash over pastry

place turkey on pastry, cover with stuffing, a layer of cranberry sauce, then layer sheet over and secure. decorate with veined leaves, make 4 holes for steam to escape. rechill for another 30'.

preheat oven to 400, bake for 15-20' then reduce to 350 for 30-45'

~a very grateful thanksgiving at the beach~
