  1. Oh my gosh. I am emotionally drained. What a life you lead!

  2. I so enjoy reading your Beach Diary...it's like a mini novel...and I feel like I'm right there with you. Loved the photo of the baby quail peeking out from under MaMa's wing. So adorable. Can't wait to see photos of the baby kittens. :)

  3. I didn't want it to end! This is mighty fine reading. This is like Marjorie Rawlings' Cross Creek, complete with adventures, food, local color. I can feel the freezing mist rising from the ocean. I can (sadly) hear the kids in the pink PJs. I can taste that utterly divine tart (I have madly tried to pin, and Bandwidth is streaming Jon Stewart and I fear this message won't even go through the tiny pinpoint of real bandwidth). Those foxtails! Wish I could kill every last one. I had no idea they migrated. And the feral saga--the most adorable fluff balls, with expressions like old fashioned porcelain doll faces.
Bravo to you for catching them so cleverly, and bravo to Scott for coming home to rescue the itty kitty. He reminds me of Will that way. I loved reading about the food preparation, the wildlife, your plans for a dish room (I can't wait for this). I keep losing my glasses, too--and tweezers. No one in the house will own up to the theft. I would have freaked if I'd seen the creepy van man. We get so many loiters across the road...it can be unnerving. I'm glad he left! Your adventures have made me so hungry, too. I need to order the caramel lemon sauce to set the world right. I cannot wait for Bandy to stop streaming (now Colbert is on) so I can pin, pin, pin. I must have that tart recipe (wiping corners of mouth). I am so reluctant to leave and cannot wait for the next Beach Diary. xx

  4. Oh my...I have read and lingered over all your wonderful wildlife photos, feral kitties included! I deerly love all your visitors, they must be practically tame with all the food and photos from you. You are so busy, how do you have time to read and post and write and novel bake, I need your secret! I got a big chuckle from 'think grand tetons, huge valleys to hold foot long submarine sandwiches in there. just after i place my order i feel something... my glasses had migrated to my arm pit... how pathetic is that that i never even knew :-( even sadder i am putting it in print!' Thanks for all the smiles, entertainment and beauty you share :)

  5. Ok, am I nuts or are you trying to trick me? Did you go back and add photos to your Beach Diary? I feel sure they were not there when I read it last night. Any way, the pix of the kittens are wonderful. They are so adorable!

  6. What a life! I could never keep up with you, you are one busy lady! I love the truth that you give in your diary, we can all relate! You have a beautifully, kind heart dealing with all of the animals and so blessed to be able to interact with them. Your cooking is amazing, every meal a page from a book.
