lemon poppy seed pound cake~













lemon poppy seed pound cake

1 1/2 c flour
1/8 t baking soda
9 T butter
4 oz cream cheese
1 3/4 sugar
3 eggs
1 t vanilla
5 T lemon juice
lemon zest
2 1/2 t poppy seed

preheat 325

beat butter and cream cheese, add 1 1/2 c sugar, beat for 5 minutes. add vanilla and 2 T lemon juice. add dry ingredients and zest last. bake for 70' until clean. cool for 15' before flipping.

heat 2 T lemon juice and 1/4 c sugar, brush when warm.

When I saw that wonderful pan I thought it would be perfect for you and your lemon grove! Picture perfect and delicious with your cake! I have no room for anymore pans *sigh* or anything else at the moment. I am drowning in a sea of stuff..boxes, bubble and working at a fever pitch thru next Wednesday. Any happy, productive thoughts you can send my way would be appreciated :)
