roasted onion tart

red onion
puff pastry
goat cheese
olive oil
balsamic vinegar
fresh thyme
s & p

slice onions thin and keep whole, spread single layer on baking sheet and drizzle with mixture of oil and vinegar. roast at 400 for 25'

roll out puff pastry and score edges. brush edges with butter or egg to brown. dot center with goat cheese, then layer onion. bake at 400 for 20 minutes. serve with a drizzle mixture of oil, vinegar, thyme, honey and s&p to taste.


  1. SWOON! All that melt in your mouth goodness from those caramelized onions on that flaky puff pastry with goat cheese...I just need to add a glass of wine for a recipe of bliss :)
