Tried a new holiday pie recipe, I enjoyed it, my husbands comment was well I will eat it... Not a resounding hit with him! I'm not a pie fancier, I liked it because its unique in taste and texture. I did alter the recipe and added more apples.

It's a beautiful-looking pie. Such a jewel-toned filling.

I added an extra chopped apple, I would make it again, my husband really wanted an apple pie is why I think he wasn't wowed, but he sprinkled more cinnamon sugar on it and polished off 1/2 the pie 😉
