katies adventure, 11 weeks~

don't hate me because i am beautiful...

katie turns ll weeks today, due to the fact she has only had one set of shots we are being very low key with her, not until she is 16 weeks can we go whole hog and let her play at the beach and go on major hikes. today we took her off roading it with cassie. she had to trudge through berry brambles, pot holes big enough to swallow puppies, no trails in sight, just wild land with loads of danger.

she decided to stick close to cassie once we let them off leash. its so hard to get pics of moving animals with a husband walking in front of my camera and bushes hiding my pets at every single opportunity. what the heck, i blog for me, i will love to look back fondly when katie is 10 years old and see her very first adventures even if the pics are crummy~

cassie is getting much more tolerant of katie, and i can tell you she is no longer depressed like she was for months when maggie died. they aren't buddies yet, but cassie is actually looking at her lately... here cassie slinked off for some alone time, the only reason katie is not with her is that she is literally on a cliff with the bay straight down 20', i didn't want katie to die on her first adventure if cassie decided to nudge her over the edge so she is firmly planted in her daddies arms~

looking up the bay, still sunny at our house~

cassie loves to swim, it was a steep drop to the water, she was already swimming when katie made it to the edge, she knew it was hopeless to get to join her...

but was it fun? will i love to swim too?

looking down the bay its sunny...

straight across the fog is thick and tumbling down like a waterfall. we heard loads of sirens, not sure what happened, a helicopter came but was held at bay right at this fog line, it circled for 30 minutes, i assume it was able to lower a basket at some no fog hand off point, scary when you think how everything stops in fog...

it looks like a tsunami dropping over the mountains~
