beach life in june

  1. Wow I could not believe that fog. You could hardly see Scott unloading the statue. How exciting about seeing the whale. I could not imagine having that sight right out my back door. And speaking of having a sight...that blueberry lavender banana breads looks so yummy. Would like to have a slice of that right now with my morning tea. :)

  3. So pretty, and Scott did a wonderful job unloading and placing my favorite statue of yours. Everything is looking so good. Sorry about the June Gloom ~ ah, that's life at the beach on the west coast. (And I'd take it any day!) For your sake, I wish it wasn't quite so cold though.

I swear I thought I could catch the aroma of that beautiful bread ~ looks great! Hope you're off to a good start this week.

  4. Your journal has magically transported me into a world of surf and sea, statues and husbands who cook, a sweep of sky. I can feel the wind and taste the sweetness of your bread. I clapped when Scott landed the statue. As for the house that got away, I will look forward to updates. I love your journals and look forward to them. PS what was the book that was wonderfully good?

  5. Life is full and glorious with your seaside living! I always feel like a voyeur reading your diary entries :) LOVE the statue! So exciting you can see whales, I'd settle for deer. I always think we should see more since there is a huge open field behind us that meets the edge of the lake. I've only seen a threesome once coming over for a drink. Glad your feral is still around~

I'm behind in my homework, gotta get cracking~

  6. Thought I had left a comment earlier, but don't see it. Not sure what happened, but wanted to say I enjoyed the update. Smiled reading your comment " handle it the egyptian way." Last week when trying to load a very heavy grill into the back of the car to take to Goodwill, we were not making progress. Then "the engineer" had the brilliant idea to make a ramp. Hello, I taught a unit on Simple Machines every year in first grade science. ;-)

Hope you are enjoying a beautiful week.
