Garden chronicles, the nursery update

The nursery is still a work in progress, with cooler weather our time has been elsewhere, working on projects you avoid in fire season, like welding and moving and smoothing dirt. The top half has been long finished and I love having my own designated work area, the lower half is coming along nicely, I have just have had other priorities, but all it needs is a weekend to call it complete and spread out from top to bottom.

thanks to deer, everything has to be protected, the front fence is planted with 6 clematis, it should be smothered in flowers in the years to come.

potting table and sink face the greenhouse to come, the graded area straight ahead

right now the top level is crowded, but once the lower level is completed it will free up some space to walk about, this area has loads of counter and table space for potting and projects

the lower level will hold ten plant racks and will have raised planters and seating in the shade for those hot summer days. behind the tree is the irrigation canal with the cooling sounds of gurgling water.

its been such a mild winter the acacia is budding up right next to the nursery

from a distance you can see the lower level area

  1. I love seeing how everything is coming together! Smothered in flowers...*sigh*. What a dream spot it will be to work, unlike where I am tripping all over myself in my postage stamp space. What a list of wonderful plantings to come too ♥
