we purchased our new house without a garden, within a few months of purchasing the house I was outside slowly but surely planting for our future. first came the trees, the foundation plantings of the property, shrubs next, then came the roses and iris, this year I feel like we are really starting to reap our rewards, COLOR! I can't get outside fast enough to see the new iris blooming, the clematis and roses hot on their heels. I feel like the mary tyler more show when she stood in the street twirling, tossing her beret in the air, ecstatic!
