First up, laying several hundreds of feet of bender board to edge the sod coming
Next the irrigation nightmare... A ditch witch was rented but with so many rocks it was abandoned in one hour for a backhoe
It was nearly impossible to dig down one feet with nothing but rocks and boulders...
I personally moved a dozen buckets of huge rocks out of the backyard, some so heavy only the tractor could lift them
It was an endless nightmare for my husband, the contactor was waiting on us to do the irrigation before the sod could be installed. The site was where the original house sat from 1938 and was hence demolished, not only were the rocks a constant problem, but old pipes, linoleum and broken dishes were unearthed, a real bio hazard!
Not to mention soul crushing work...
After weeks of nonstop labor the irrigation was installed, every rock removed and raked smooth...
With rain due things are on hold...
Waiting patiently for green!
